Senior Accountant

Position Type:

• Contract
• Remote (Work from home PST Zone)

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Advanced understanding of GAAP accounting
• 3-5 years of experience with general ledger, month-end close, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
• Experience with EPM software
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills

Preferences:

• Oracle Fusion experience
• Timeshare experience
• Master's degree or CPA
• 3 years in the timeshare or travel hospitality industry

Responsibilities:

• Compile financial information for accurate financial statement preparation
• Post journal entries and handle payables, bank reconciliations, and billing reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries for the general ledger
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Facilitate wire transfers for club transactions
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of corporate related party receivables and payables
• Assist in financial statement preparation and reporting package
• Support financial audits and annual budget preparation
• Monitor banking activity for fund availability
• Drive departmental goals and process improvements
• Support events and peer development in the timeshare industry
• Contribute to the development of junior accountants
