What to expect:
- Manage a portfolio of grants and contracts from award budgeting, post-award management, through closeout.
- Review and monitor grant expenditures for accuracy, allowability, allocability, and compliance with funding requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual grant financial reports for funders and internal stakeholders.
- Reconcile grant activity to the general ledger and investigate variances or discrepancies.
- Track grant budgets, expenditures, and revenue recognition.
- Record grant-related journal entries and ensure proper account coding.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and private funding regulations.
- Support Single Audit, 440 Audits, and other external audit activities by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Conduct budget-to-actual analyses and explain significant variances.
- Support HUD Accounting cash function.
- Other duties as maybe assigned.

This position has a pay range of $67,999.78 to $108,576.83 USD.
What we need from you.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive grants accounting experience required, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, or research environment.
- Experience managing federal grants and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) requirements strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting principles.
- Knowledge of federal grant regulations, cost principles, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP, preferably Oracle
