Qualifications
The Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting supports the monthly close and reporting processes and is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This position provides exposure to finance leadership and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Supports the financial reporting process by aggregating, analyzing, and validating financial data and other business metrics.
- Assists in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Statement of Cash Flows, in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Responds to questions, provide ad hoc analysis, and variance analysis reporting to key stakeholders.
- Partners with financial systems teams to design and implement reporting solutions that support accurate and efficient financial reporting, including data integration from Oracle into Workiva.
- Drives process improvements and automation initiatives within the financial reporting and close process to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Ensures adherence to GAAP, internal accounting policies, and internal control procedures while supporting internal and external audit requests.
- Owns aspects of technical and industry specific accounting which includes research, entries, balance sheet recons, and serving as subject matter expert.
- Supports financial system implementations, upgrades, and reporting improvements.
- Performs standalone and other financial statement audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Travel: Yes: Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
- 5-8 years of experience
Licenses and Certifications
- CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
