An established and growing residential property management company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of 15�20 apartment communities. This position offers a collaborative environment, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work remotely two days per week following a 60-day onboarding period.

What You'll Do
- Complete month-end close processes for 15�20 apartment communities
- Prepare monthly accruals and deferrals
- Analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and budget variances
- Review cash flow and approve accounts payable activity
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Communicate financial information and variances with property managers, regional managers, ownership groups, and executive leadership
- Assist with annual property tax payments
- Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to maintain accurate records
- Support additional accounting projects as assigned
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Experience
- 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience required
- Understanding of accrual accounting and cash/AP analysis
- Property management or real estate accounting experience preferred
- Experience communicating financial information to non-accounting professionals preferred
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience with Entrata and/or OneSite accounting software preferred
