Assist the Controller to provide timely and accurate financial results/analysis. Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and Company’s policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly/quarterly close process ensuring all entries are accurate and processed timely for assigned areas.
- Provide accurate and timely financial statements and reports to management.
- Complete analysis/reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet accounts and investigates deviations from forecasts or historical trends.
- Assist the Controller and CFO of the Company in preparing the relevant information to the Company’s tax advisor.
- Assist the Controller and CFO of the Company in preparing the submission of sale taxes and Property Taxes reviews.
- Support the Operations team for accounting/financial issues and questions.
- Drive continuous improvement in the group and implement efficient and effective procedures; correctly document all processes.
- Assist FP&A team with forecast/budget. Review and challenge operational assumptions as they are basis for variance analysis.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required by management.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in Houston and the international development team in Madrid, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy or similar.
- Experience in accountancy, cash-flow projection, control and planification.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience in Tax administration (sale tax, income tax, franchise tax)
- Experience with financial audit processes.
- 5 to 10 years of experience (real).
- Good knowledge of Excel, usual accountant software and, ideally, of Power BI.
- Fluent in Spanish highly valued.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing complex workflows and deadlines.
