We aim to bring warmth and energy to everything we do. We have an exciting opportunity for a RNG Financial Analyst III (SGL17) t o work in a hybrid capacity based out of our Denver, CO office. No relocation assistance will be provided. POSITION SUMMARY This position will serve a key role in supporting Business Development, M&A, and FP&A activities at Peaks Renewables HoldCo, LLC (“Peaks”). As a direct report to the company’s Sr Manager of Finance of Renewable Project Development, this position will be responsible for supporting the financial analytics and project economics of the company. This position will also support other critical business functions such as project feasibility / valuation analysis and merger and acquisition due diligence, tax credit monetization, project finance / debt financing, offtake origination, deal / project development origination as well as have forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting responsibilities. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and valuation modeling for new investments, including developing sensitivities for various development scenarios and outcomes. Screen and evaluate the feasibility of new M&A and project opportunities, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and objectives. Develop and refine commercial proposals and support offtake origination, working closely with internal teams to structure deals that maximize value and mitigate risk. Assist with due diligence processes for acquisitions, including financial assessments and coordination of internal approval processes. Support and manage relationships with lenders, investors, and other capital providers to optimize project-level returns. Support tax credit monetization analysis (ITC/PTC transferability, tax equity structures) by building and maintaining financial models that quantify impact on project IRR and after-tax cash flows. Track relevant legislative and regulatory developments affecting renewable energy incentives and market conditions, summarizing key impacts on project economics and financial models for internal stakeholders. Assists with the 5-year growth plan with the business development team and FP&A Assists with due diligence and assists with the navigation of acquisition opportunities through internal approval processes and external sales processes. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis or reporting tasks in support of the FP&A function and financial performance of the Company. Support, when necessary, P&L responsibility for renewables business unit Design, develop, and implement methods and strategies to enhance financial models and streamline processes. Support the preparation of presentations for the Risk Management Committee, regular corporate data reporting, C-team, Investment Committee and Board meetings. Work closely with the Summit and Peaks teams to ensure timely and on-budget project development across RNG project types. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the fields of energy, business, finance, and economic theory to inform strategic decisions. Execute ad-hoc financial analysis or reporting tasks in support of the company's financial objectives. Represent Peaks and Summit Utilities in meetings, conferences, and other external engagements to foster relationships and explore business opportunities. Other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager, RNG/H2 Project Development Team and/or the Director, Renewable Project Development EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting Three years of finance or business analysis experience including the development of advanced integrated financial models. Energy/Utility industry experience is a plus. MBA with a Finance specialization is a plus. Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Consulting experience is a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Strong competencies in corporate valuation techniques, financial modeling, forecasting, and business development Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis with the proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts and data in an understandable manner to all levels of management and staff. Demonstrated success in consulting effectively with all levels of management including executives; Must possess the ability to influence others without direct position power to earn credibility and trust. Must be able to manage multiple work streams and be capable of succeeding across a diverse portfolio of projects and responsibilities. Business partnering mentality. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and meticulous analytical capability Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office suites of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining an even-keel approach and commitment to deadlines. The salary range is $89,102 - $105,808 annually, depending on experience.
