SUMMARY

Reporting to the Risk Director, this role leads practical, decision-focused project risk management across a portfolio of projects. The Risk Manager will work closely with estimating, scheduling, design/engineering, construction, and commercial from pre-construction through to project delivery.

PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE

Risk Governance & Strategy

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of project risk-management plans, risk registers, treatment strategies, mitigation plans, governance, and reporting.

• Apply sound judgement to monitor and escalate key risks to relevant stakeholders.

• Support the Risk Director in advancing industry-leading risk architectures.

Analysis & Quantitative Modeling

• Lead qualitative and quantitative cost and schedule risk analyses (QRA) at key proposal, design, and delivery milestones.

• Develop, maintain, and interpret integrated QRA cost and schedule analysis risk models utilizing Safran Risk.

Workshop Facilitation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Plan and facilitate multidisciplinary risk workshops, spanning initial brainstorming through identification, assessment, review, and mitigation phases.

• Partner with project controls, cost estimating, design, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to validate inputs and integrate risk management across project disciplines.

Training, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Deliver risk management education, coaching, and training for project teams.

• Prepare comprehensive risk reports, dashboards, presentations, and documentation while embedding lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, math, or a related discipline.
• 10-15 years of combined experience within design/construction environments in field supervision, project management, project controls, estimating, scheduling, commercial management.
• 5+ years of dedicated risk management experience within complex infrastructure or heavy civil projects in excess $1B in value.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating risk workshops and working with multidisciplinary project teams and senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience delivering quantitative cost and schedule risk analyses using Monte Carlo simulation software.
• Strong working knowledge of Safran Risk or other similar quantitative risk analysis tools.
• Familiarity with ISO 31000, AACE Recommended Practices, PMI guidelines, and other industry standards and practices.
• PMI-RMP, CRM or similar designation is highly preferred.

• Expected Base Salary: $160,000 - $170,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location, and market expectations.
