Revenue Accountant

NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a confidential oil & gas company to identify a Revenue Accountant for its Fort Worth office. This role will support revenue accounting activities across an active energy portfolio while working closely with Accounting, Land, Engineering, and leadership. The position offers broad exposure to oil & gas operations within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare revenue calculations, reconciliations, schedules, and accounting entries for oil, gas, and NGL sales
• Manage revenue and production data within industry-specific accounting systems
• Support month-end close, year-end reporting, audits, and ad hoc accounting projects
• Prepare and validate volumetric and valuation information used for severance tax reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of revenue accounting experience within the oil & gas industry
• Understanding of oil, gas, and NGL revenue accounting processes
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to learn industry-specific accounting and production systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
