Job Summary:

In accordance with the procurement authority delegated by the State Procurement Administrator (SPOA), and the Arizona Procurement Code, this position oversees and directs procurement operations. The Procurement Supervisor provides guidance and oversight to the Procurement Technician, coordinates with the Department Legal team on contract negotiations, oversees scope of work and specifications development, prepares and administers Requests for Proposal (RFP), Invitations for Bid (IFB), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and Requests for Grant Applications (RFGA). Provides oversight and guidance in all procurement processes.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based on the department's business needs and a continual meeting of expected performance measures.

A minimum of two days on-site at the ADWR office per week is required. Additionally, the position will be required to work on-site Monday through Friday for the first two months of employment.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or relevant professional experience) and four (4) years of governmental procurement experience.
Professional experience and certification education such as CPPO, the CPPB minimum or CPM from a professional purchasing organization is preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement system (ASRS). Please note, enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment. The current contribution rate is 12.00%.
