About the Role
We’re looking for a smart, highly organized, and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our team and support the budgeting and financial operations of our hardware organization.
This role sits at the intersection of hardware operations, budgeting, and
cross-functional coordination. You’ll help keep multiple hardware budgets
organized, accurate, consistent, and ready for planning and decision-making.
You’ll work closely with budget owners, Finance partners, hardware teams,
and business leaders to coordinate budget activities, resolve
discrepancies, maintain accurate information, and ensure everyone has the
information they need when they need it.
We’re looking for someone who is naturally organized, comfortable working
with data, and confident coordinating across teams. You should enjoy
solving problems, asking thoughtful questions, identifying gaps, and
bringing structure to complex processes.
This is an individual contributor role with meaningful ownership. You’ll
have the opportunity to become a trusted operational partner to the teams
you support while helping improve how hardware budgeting is managed.
What You’ll Do
Hardware Budget Coordination
- Coordinate budget activities across multiple hardware programs and
operational teams.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date budget information.
- Partner with budget owners to collect, review, and validate budget
inputs.
- Track budget submissions, updates, open questions, and outstanding
actions.
- Ensure budget information is complete and ready for recurring planning
and forecasting cycles.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, and inconsistencies and
work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Maintain a clear view of budget status, ownership, and outstanding
items.
Operations & Process Management
- Establish and maintain consistent processes for hardware budget
coordination.
- Standardize templates, documentation, file structures, and operating
practices.
- Help teams follow established budgeting processes and timelines.
- Develop practical tools and documentation that make budget
coordination easier and more efficient.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
- Help create scalable, repeatable processes as the organization grows.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a central point of contact for hardware budget coordination.
- Work closely with Finance, budget owners, hardware teams, and business
stakeholders.
- Coordinate information and action items across multiple teams.
- Follow up proactively to keep activities moving and deadlines on track.
- Communicate issues, risks, and outstanding decisions clearly and
appropriately.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted
operational partner.
Budget Planning Support
- Support recurring budgeting, forecasting, and outlook cycles.
- Prepare and organize budget information for reviews and planning
discussions.
- Help ensure budget owners have accurate and timely information.
- Coordinate updates and changes throughout the planning cycle.
- Support reconciliation and quality-control activities.
- Help identify potential budget issues before they impact planning or
decision-making.
Continuous Improvement
- Look for opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve budget
operations.
- Identify recurring problems and help develop solutions.
- Improve templates, workflows, documentation, and tracking mechanisms.
- Reduce unnecessary administrative work for budget owners and Finance
partners.
- Help establish better visibility, accountability, and consistency
across hardware budgeting activities.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks critically, and gets
things done.
You don't need to come from a traditional Finance background. You may have
experience in operations, program coordination, finance operations,
budgeting, or another environment where you've had to manage complex
information and coordinate across teams.
What matters most is your ability to organize, communicate, solve problems,
and take ownership.
You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in operations, finance operations, budgeting,
program coordination, business operations, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project-coordination skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience working with spreadsheets, budgets, financial information,
or operational data.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- A proactive approach—you see something that needs attention and take
action.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across
teams.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting hardware, technology, manufacturing, supply
chain, or other operational organizations.
- Experience coordinating budgets or financial planning activities.
- Experience supporting forecasting, planning, or outlook cycles.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with reconciliation, data validation, or quality-control
processes.
- Experience creating or improving operational processes.
- Experience developing templates, trackers, documentation, or reporting
tools.
- Familiarity with financial planning, ERP, procurement, or
business-management systems.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, programs, or business
units.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means becoming the person teams can rely on to keep
hardware budgeting organized, accurate, and moving forward.
You’ll help ensure:
- Budget information is accurate and easy to understand.
- Budget owners know what is expected and when.
- Open questions and discrepancies don't fall through the cracks.
- Planning and forecasting cycles run smoothly.
- Processes are consistent across hardware teams.
- Stakeholders spend less time managing administrative details.
- Finance and business leaders have confidence in the information they
are using.
- Hardware teams can focus on their priorities while you help keep the
operational engine running behind them.}
Why This Role Matters
Hardware organizations involve significant investment, complex planning,
and many moving pieces. Good budget operations create the structure that
allows those teams to operate effectively.
In this role, you'll help connect the people, information, processes, and
deadlines that keep hardware budgeting on track.
You’ll have visibility across multiple teams and the opportunity to make an
immediate impact by bringing clarity, organization, and accountability to
an important business process.
If you're someone who loves getting organized, solving problems, working
with smart people, and making complicated processes simpler, we'd like to
hear from you.
