PRYER Aerospace is hiring a Procurement Manager. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the assembly and fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.
The Procurement Manager is the functional leader of the Procurement department and is accountable for procurement execution, supplier performance, material availability, buyer development, and departmental results. This role serves as the primary voice of Procurement for internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and executive leadership.
This position will play a crucial role in the production process and contribute to the team’s overall performance in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the direct leader of the Procurement team, providing daily direction, coaching, prioritization and performance management
- Act as the final escalation point for procurement-related issues involving suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers
- Design and implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Develop procedures for coordination of procurement management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, engineering and quality assurance.
- Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material and production flow.
- Analyze information about supplier performance and procurement program success.
- Confer with Production Control to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials and products.
- Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors such as product cost, quality, and delivery.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production control, production, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
- Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback (including cost), or to discuss production forecasts or changes.
- Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on procurement activities.
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
- Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.
- Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
- Diagram supply chain models to help facilitate discussions with customers.
- Function as a team member and under minimal supervision.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field from an accredited 4-year university; or equivalent education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
- 5–7 years of experience in supply chain or materials management in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and managing outsourcing and procurement processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems and tools such as Microsoft Project is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- None required. APICS, CPM, or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Legally able to work in the United States.
- Adhere to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000 / AS9100, ITAR, FAA regulations and company specific safety standards.
- Ability to be fitted and wear respiratory equipment necessary to perform functions of the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift). Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to manufacturing environments, including moderate noise levels, vibrations, and varying temperatures.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment ae required, Such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
The work environment is primarily office environment with frequent interaction with the production floor. PPE as required on the production floor.
