OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a client-based project on a short-term engagement. This is a hands-on role focused on end-to-end procurement delivery, working closely with client stakeholders to support sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and procurement initiatives. You will be expected to quickly understand the client environment, establish priorities, and provide practical procurement expertise throughout the engagement.

This is a full-time onsite engagement, with the successful candidate working in either Saint John or Moncton, New Brunswick. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE

Managing end-to-end procurement activities across assigned categories, projects, or supplier engagements. Working closely with client stakeholders to understand requirements, priorities, and commercial objectives. Leading sourcing activities, including market engagement, supplier evaluation, selection, and negotiation. Negotiating commercial terms and supporting contract development and execution. Managing supplier relationships and addressing commercial, performance, and delivery issues as required.

Identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve value, and increase procurement efficiency.

Providing procurement guidance and recommendations to client stakeholders. Ensuring procurement activities align with client policies, governance requirements, and established processes. Managing procurement risks and escalating key issues where appropriate. Providing clear reporting and updates on procurement activities, outcomes, risks, and deliverables.

WHAT SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED

Proven experience in a Procurement Manager, Procurement Lead, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or similar procurement role. Strong experience managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities. Demonstrated commercial negotiation and supplier management experience. Strong understanding of procurement processes, contracting principles, and commercial risk. Experience working directly with senior stakeholders and translating business requirements into procurement strategies. Ability to quickly understand new organizations, priorities, and operating environments. Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and deliver effectively within a fast-paced, project-based environment. Previous consulting or client-facing project experience is considered an asset. Relevant procurement or supply chain qualifications or certifications are considered an asset. Hands-on experience developing and managing RFPs, RFQs, and competitive procurement processes is considered an asset.
