Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Clerk with 4-7 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience to support procurement operations and ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, tracking deliveries, reconciling invoices, and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies. This role requires strong administrative, analytical, and communication skills to support efficient purchasing activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Process and maintain purchase orders, requisitions, and procurement documentation. Obtain and compare quotes from approved vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Coordinate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and specifications. Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor files, and purchasing databases. Verify purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Assist in supplier onboarding and maintain positive vendor relationships. Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and replenishment requirements. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Generate procurement reports and analyze purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings. Assist with contract administration and vendor performance tracking. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to facilitate timely invoice processing and payment.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field preferred. 4-7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory control, or a related administrative role. Strong understanding of purchasing processes, vendor management, and procurement best practices. Experience processing purchase orders and maintaining procurement records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience using ERP, procurement, or inventory management systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within manufacturing, logistics, distribution, construction, healthcare, or other high-volume purchasing environments. Familiarity with supplier contract management and procurement compliance requirements. Knowledge of inventory control and demand planning concepts. Professional procurement certifications (CPM, CPSM, CPPB, or similar) are a plus.
