BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Senior Procurement Analyst - Compliance for our GOCO (government owned contractor operated) facilities located in Radford, VA and Kingsport, TN. In this Procurement Compliance role, every day is different. This position will participate in the internal audit/self-review program including the Purchasing COSA, providing compliance metrics and reports, collaborating with the functions in supply chain process improvement initiatives, and supporting other activities as needed for the business.
The Supply Chain Compliance team is responsible for the internal control and integrity of the Purchasing System at BAE Systems which entails internal audit of procurement files, delivering an annual training curriculum, and daily communication and outreach to the OSI Supply Chain community. Supply Chain Compliance Analysts become the subject matter experts on the OSI Procurement Procedures and processes.
- It is preferred the candidate be local to Kingsport, TN or Radford, VA and work a hybrid schedule.
- This position will require up to 10% of travel.
Responsibilities:
- Apply working knowledge of the FAR/DFARS government regulations for Supply Chain Compliance.
- Complete government Purchase Order compliance reviews to support maintaining an approved purchasing system with the Government.
- Support quarterly internal functional compliance system reviews and internal control self-assessments.
- Participate in the development of templates and other tools that support compliant purchasing and supply chain actions.
- Monitor and ensure all records and documents are maintained according to supply chain best practices, government regulations, and relevant policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of systems that result in improved operational efficiency and reduced organizational risk.
- Seek optimal solutions and approaches within the supply chain organization, identify gaps in practices and processes, and pursue training and process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct routine compliance reviews on procurement files to document ongoing operational quality, collect statistics, and submit reports on risks and recommendations.
- Perform compliance reviews of the Logistics organization to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Support expediting and receiving activities as assigned.
- Follow up on reviews to verify that corrective actions have been implemented.
- Coordinate information related to internal/external audits and CPSR reviews to support maintaining an approved purchasing system with the government.
- Remain informed of government regulations and policies of FAR/DFARS requirements.
- Collaborate with other functions on process improvement projects, policy and procedure writing/updates, audit requests, etc.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to Supply Chain staff on government regulations, OSI procedures, and overall best practices.
- Communicate changes in policy/procedure to staff.
- Review and edit internal policies, procedures, templates, and guides.
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience as a Buyer or Subcontract Administrator
- Extensive, demonstrated knowledge of FAR/DFARS
- Team-oriented with the ability to build trust and maintain a positive culture

- Masters Degree in Compliance or Business Administration
