Procurement Analyst (Tech Procurement)Location: Santa Monica, CAContract Duration: 1 Month Contract (Ending July 31st)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMPay Rate: $18.00 per hourPosition SummaryThe Procurement Analyst will support UMG's Global Tech Support team by managing technology procurement activities, hardware asset management, and inventory operations. This role will coordinate the purchasing, tracking, allocation, and distribution of technology equipment to internal users while ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and vendor coordination.The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment. The Procurement Analyst will work closely with IT, Finance, Procurement teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of technology resources.Essential Job Functions• Manage and maintain technology procurement operations and hardware asset management activities.• Maintain security and organization of the procurement storage area.• Monitor and maintain appropriate hardware stock levels to support business needs.• Forecast equipment requirements based on usage trends and available data.• Track and monitor hardware orders from initial request through final delivery.• Validate purchase requests, allocate equipment, and coordinate shipment of technology assets to local Tech Support teams.• Receive incoming hardware shipments, perform asset tagging, scanning, and inventory updates.• Maintain accurate IT inventory records, asset databases, and reporting documentation.• Prepare and process procurement documentation including purchase orders, invoices, quotes, and related paperwork.• Obtain vendor quotations and assist with purchasing activities.• Respond to internal customer inquiries related to technology orders, inventory, and fulfillment.• Partner with Finance teams to support reporting, reconciliation, and procurement tracking.• Coordinate meetings and communication with Procurement teams across the US and UK.• Collaborate with Global Procurement teams to support pricing negotiations and hardware purchasing strategies.• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.• Assist with replenishment orders, non-standard requests, and supplier coordination.• Identify process improvements and support automation opportunities within procurement workflows.• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates effectively across teams.Qualifications & RequirementsRequired Experience & Skills:• Previous experience in IT Procurement, IT purchasing, procurement operations, or a similar buying desk environment.• Experience working in an IT environment with knowledge of hardware equipment and asset management processes.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.• Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.• High attention to detail and accuracy.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong knowledge of Excel.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience working within a large global organization.• Experience in a media, entertainment, or technology-focused company.• Knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing workflows, and P2P (Procure-to-Pay).• Experience with reporting, analytics, and inventory management.• Advanced Excel skills.• IT-related education, certifications, or technical training.Key Competencies• Analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem solving.• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.• Adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.• Ability to build effective working relationships across departments.• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.Work EnvironmentThis position requires working in an office environment a minimum of four days per week, with flexibility to work onsite five days per week when needed for special projects or business requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual.If interested in exploring this great opportunity, please apply directly at https://search10.smartsearchonline.com/datrose/jobs/Veterans are encouraged to apply.Datrose is an equal opportunity employer.
