About the Role

The LNG Canada Phase 2 Project HSSE Risk Manager is a senior leadership role within the LNG Canada HSSE organization, responsible for leading the delivery, governance, and continual improvement of all technical and non-technical HSS&ER programs across the Phase 2 Project.

Reporting as a key member of the HSSE Leadership Team, this position provides strategic direction and expert leadership in the management of complex HSS&ER risks, ensuring effective implementation of LNG Canada's HSSE Management System and Project requirements. The role influences decision-making at all levels of the organization and serves as a critical interface between Project Leadership, Engineering, Construction, Operations Readiness, Asset teams, Joint Venture partners, and Shell Technical Safety and Process Safety networks.

This position leads a specialized team of five direct reports, including Technical Safety Engineers working with multi- disciplinary project teams, an Emergency Response/Crisis and Security Advisor based in Kitimat, CSR Advisor, and a Marine Safety Lead & Advisor. The HSSE Risk Manager is responsible for developing team capability, fostering technical excellence, and creating a culture of chronic unease, continuous improvement, and proactive risk management.

Through visible leadership and strong stakeholder engagement, the role champions Technical Safety, CSU, Emergency Response, Security, and HSS&ER risk management excellence to support the safe and successful delivery of the LNG Canada Phase 2 Project.
