Location: Rockville, MD | Full-time, on-site. This is an in-office opportunity for someone who enjoys collaboration, direct client support, and being part of a hands-on professional team.

Note: Candidates must have 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience and practical end-to-end payroll experience covering wages, deductions, payroll taxes, and payroll administration.

Job Description

• Manage accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients.
• Collect, review, and verify employee time, attendance, and payroll information.
• Calculate wages, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments.
• Process and support federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records within payroll systems.
• Prepare payroll reports and coordinate with accounting staff on payroll reconciliations.
• Respond professionally to client and employee payroll questions.
• Maintain organized, secure payroll documentation and confidential employee information.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• End-to-end payroll experience including wages, deductions, payroll taxes, and payroll administration.
• Experience handling garnishments and payroll-related deductions.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Experience working with payroll software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Accounting firm, tax services, multi-client payroll, HR, or benefits administration experience is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
