The Payroll Specialist will oversee all payrolls for the company. Ensuring precise financial records related to Payroll and coordinating with all related personal including Accounting and Human Resources.
Performance Expectations/Responsibilities
- Process Monthly and Bi-weekly payrolls and forward for review.
- Prepare payroll deduction spreadsheets.
- Prepare Monthly payroll wire in Bank of Colorado for approval.
- Prepare Monthly and Bi-weekly journal entries in Epic.
- Input Producer Compensation Agreements in Epic.
- Communicate with Paychex as necessary.
- Provide Paychex reports to managers as requested.
- Communicate with necessary staff and departments as necessary.
- Transition renewed benefits at year end for new year.
- Reconcile payroll benefit accounts
- Maintain payroll states
Compensation & Benefits
- $35 – $45 per hour

Education/Training Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficient in using a personal computer, calculator, agency automation systems, and various application/software programs (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Epic).
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk while using a computer and other office equipment.
- Repetitive motion tasks, such as typing, data entry, and phone use.
- Occasional lifting of files or other materials, typically weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to move freely around the office space to collaborate with colleagues or access office resources.
- Visual acuity to read documents, screens, and fine print on documents.
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and handle paperwork efficiently.
- Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a sometimes fast paced and multitasking environment.
- The office environment typically has a moderate noise level consistent with a professional office setting.
- Some travel may be required for this position, primarily for attending training sessions, conferences, or meetings with clients or stakeholders. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be necessary for travel to off-site locations.
