Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to own our end-to-end payroll processes and employee benefits administration. This role involves managing accurate data entry, ensuring compliant payroll delivery, administering benefit plans, and supporting employee inquiries.

- Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
- Benefits Administration & Auditing: Ensure employee benefits are setup properly in the system and that employees are assigned the correct benefits per their elections.
- Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate employee data and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Employee Support: Act as a primary contact for payroll and benefits questions, providing excellent and timely customer service.
- Reporting: Generate payroll, tax and benefit reports for management and employees.
- System Proficiency: Knowledge of payroll software (UKG, Kronos, Paycor, or other platforms) preferred.
- Payroll and/or Benefits Administration Knowledge: Understanding payroll, taxes, garnishments, and benefits highly desired.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving and attention to detail is required.
- Experience: Previous payroll, HR or similar experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency is highly regarded. Exceptional accuracy in processing payroll and maintaining financial records.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Work is of light demand, sitting most of the time while on duty.
- Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required: optimal auditory acuity required.
- Able to look at a computer screen for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity involving the handling of equipment and computers is essential to performing assigned duties.
- May be subjected to stressful situations.
- Hours of duty may be irregular or unexpectedly extended due to the requirements of the Administration.
- OSHA Exposure Classification: Job Category III. Tasks/activities do not entail predictable or unpredictable exposure to blood or other body fluids to which universal precautions apply.
