Job Description
Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce an available position for a Payroll Analyst. As a Payroll Analyst at our reputable logistics company, you will be integral in ensuring accurate processing and reporting of payroll, contributing to the flawless execution of our financial operations. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team and help us continue to provide excellent service and support to our employees worldwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter, maintain, and/or processes information in the payroll system; including wages, salaries, bonuses, deductions, and other relevant information.
- Responsible for the confidentiality of employee personal data.
- Review timesheets, wage computations and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Validate 401K changes in collaboration with the Benefits Team.
- Process US payrolls (Regular, Terminations, and Off-Cycles) timely and accurately.
- Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, among others.
- Reconcile payroll to general ledger and monthly bank statements.
- Process paperwork for new hires and validate employee information in the payroll system.
- Assist with the management of Federal and State tax processes and compliance.
- Perform Post-Payroll Processes and Audits reports.
- Issue and record adjustments to pay related to errors or retroactive increases.
- Process final payments according to state laws and regulations.
- Record and manage federal and state payroll tax deposits.
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures documentation.
- Support requests from external and internal audit teams.
- Perform payroll testing as needed and assist with payroll-related projects.
- Assist with Year-End processes and manage Payroll mail requirements.
- Handle Verification of Employment, garnishments, levies, and additional payroll duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Finance or related field preferred and/or Certified Payroll Professional Certification or re-certification. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ related payroll experience required.
- Working knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft (North America Payroll).
- Familiarity with SOX, FLSA, state, and worldwide foreign payroll compliance, including knowledge specific to expats, inpats, and secondment payrolls.
- Understanding of local and federal statutory requirements and labor laws on both a local and global scale.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and prioritize projects effectively.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance knowledge of US State and Federal Taxes, global compliance, and payroll best practices.
- Identify needs proactively and report necessary actions to payroll management.
- Demonstrate analytical problem-solving abilities with a fair and respectful treatment of coworkers.
