Finance/Administrative Assistant Services
PART TIME BOOKKEEPER/SECRETARY
Qualifications:
· High school diploma (prefer technology school training); job related experience required
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Successful experience with bookkeeping methods
· Knowledge and use of computer applications
· Knowledge and use of common office equipment and machines
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· * Experience with Smart Fusion and IDEA Grant Budget preferred.
Reports To: Director of Special Services
Job Goal
To assure the smooth and efficient operations of the various accounts and provide support as assigned by the Director of Special Services. To provide an array of fiscal services for site activities; conveying and updating fiscal information; and ensuring that fiscal practices are followed and disbursement of funds are within proper and legal guidelines.
Performance Responsibilities
· Performs usual office routines.
· Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed and puts it into usable form.
· Prepares written materials for the purpose of documenting activities and conveying information.
· Maintains a regular filing system and processes incoming correspondence as instructed.
· Places, receives, and directs telephone calls, faxed documents, and electronic (e-mail) messages appropriately.
· Performs major bookkeeping tasks associated with school funding.
· Completes and files necessary reports and documents as required.
· Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information.
· Assists with audits and compliance reviews per the SC State Dept of Education, Office of Special Education Services.
· Orders and maintains supplies as needed.
· Performs other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the department.

Terms of Employment:
240 days 40 hours a month, salary and work year to be established by the Board
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Service Personnel.
