The Bookkeeper will help ensure accounting-related activity is handled accurately, timely, and professionally. This could be a strong fit for an experienced bookkeeper, accounting coordinator, office accounting professional, or semi-retired accounting professional seeking a flexible part-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable processing, invoice coordination, and vendor-related follow-up.
- Assist with payroll-related coordination and communication with centralized accounting or payroll resources.
- Support commissions accounting, tracking, review, and related administrative follow-up.
- Assist with benefits-related accounting coordination and related administrative matters.
- Perform basic cash management support, including cash activity tracking, deposits, bank activity review, and related reconciliations.
- Serve as a liaison between the local office and centralized accounting functions.
- Maintain organized records and assist with accounting documentation.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve questions and ensure timely processing.
- Support special projects and administrative accounting needs as requested.
- Prior bookkeeping, accounting support, payroll coordination, AP, or office accounting experience.
- Comfortable handling transactional accounting and administrative accounting responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently in a part-time environment.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to coordinate with both local leadership and centralized accounting teams.
- Experience supporting payroll, commissions, AP, benefits administration, or cash management would be helpful.
- Professional services, financial services, or small-office accounting experience would be a plus.
