Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office & Payroll Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy Washington, D.C. office. This role combines office administration, payroll coordination, and accounting support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional internal customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for office operations, including reception, office supplies, facilities coordination, mail, and vendor management
- Coordinate onboarding logistics, office access, workspace setup, meetings, employee events, and general administrative support for leadership
- Review, audit, and process employee timesheets while partnering with HR, Accounting, and operational teams to support accurate payroll processing
- Assist with payroll inquiries, timekeeping discrepancies, expense reports, corporate credit card reconciliations, and other accounting-related activities
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and support efficient office and payroll operations
- Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and delivering exceptional service to employees and visitors
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 1–2 years of office administration, payroll, accounting, or administrative experience
- Experience supporting office operations within a professional environment
- Knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, or accounting processes preferred
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually
- Full-time, non-exempt
- Fully on-site
- Washington, D.C.
