This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leadership team where you'll influence the future of the finance function while working closely with senior leaders across Finance, Asset Management, Property Management, Leasing, and Operations.Your New Role As the Manager, Property Accounting, you will lead the accounting and financial reporting activities for a growing portfolio of commercial real estate assets while managing and developing a team of Property Accountants.Reporting to the Vice President, Accounting, you will oversee monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tenant recoveries, lease accounting, capital expenditure accounting, and portfolio performance analysis across multiple commercial asset classes. You'll ensure the integrity of financial reporting while partnering closely with operational leaders to provide meaningful insights that support business decisions.Beyond portfolio oversight, you'll play a key leadership role in developing people, improving processes, enhancing financial controls, and supporting the continued integration and growth of the commercial real estate platform. From mentoring team members to helping implement scalable accounting practices and supporting acquisitions, dispositions, and system improvements, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a growing organization.This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced commercial property accounting professional who enjoys balancing leadership, technical accounting, and strategic business partnership in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.What Sets You Apart You are an experienced commercial property accounting professional who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and helping businesses grow. You bring approximately six or more years of progressive accounting experience, including several years supporting commercial real estate portfolios and previous leadership or supervisory experience.You have a strong understanding of commercial property accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, CAM reconciliations, tenant recoveries, lease accounting, and capital project accounting. Experience with office, retail, industrial, or mixed-use assets is highly valued.You are highly proficient in Excel and have experience working with Yardi Voyager or another commercial property accounting platform.
