How Will You Make an Impact?
As an Inventory Control Analyst at our Memphis, TN facility, you will drive inventory accuracy, financial integrity, and operational performance by analyzing inventory data, resolving discrepancies, and improving material flow processes. You will play a key role in supporting workcells, optimizing inventory management practices, and leading efforts to reduce errors and inefficiencies across the site.
Location:
On‑site at our Memphis, TN facility.
What Will You Do?
- Analyze inventory levels and material transactions across internal operations and external movements.
- Review and follow up on cycle count activities, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved.
- Perform root cause analysis of inventory inaccuracies and provide corrective action recommendations.
- Partner with workcells to provide solutions and process improvements related to inventory management.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including:
- Downtime related to material availability
- Inventory adjustments
- Rework and backflush integrity
- Material returns and line inventory accuracy
- Evaluate and improve material flow processes across the facility.
- Review and authorize inventory adjustments in accordance with controls and procedures.
- Provide follow-up and analysis on financial reports, including backflush variations and material consumption.
- Review and support RMA (Return Material Authorization) processes.
- Lead and provide guidance to Inventory Control Analysts, supporting team development and execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company security policies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities
- May provide leadership and direction to Inventory Control Analysts or team members.
- Typically reports to Inventory Control Supervisor or Materials Manager.
- May act as a team lead or subject matter expert for inventory processes.
How Will You Get Here?
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in inventory control, materials management, or manufacturing environments required.
- Previous experience in data analysis, financial reporting, or inventory performance management preferred.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring team members is a plus.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and reconciliation practices.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and perform root cause analysis.
- Understanding of financial impacts of inventory (backflush, consumption, adjustments).
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory transactions.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations.
- Ability to lead initiatives and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
