Your Opportunity
Our Huntsville office is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team and own the following responsibilities:
- Prepare compilation engagements, including year-end working paper files, financial statements, and supporting documentation, for clients in a variety of industries.
- Prepare and review corporate (T2), personal (T1), trust (T3), and partnership tax returns.
- Prepare information returns and slips, including T4, T4A, T5, and related CRA filings.
- Build positive working relationships with clients to communicate directly, request information, discuss accounting matters, and effectively respond to inquiries.
- Identify and resolve accounting and bookkeeping issues while supporting managers and partners in delivering high-quality client service and meeting deadlines.
- Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
- Invest in the professional development of your team by engaging in training and mentoring junior team members.

Your experience and education
- You have 2+ years of related experience in the public accounting industry.
- You enjoy working within a variety of industries and are keen to develop further knowledge in this area.
- You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
- You display strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- You have the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range: $54,000 - $76,000 per annum
