The Opportunity:We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team at Corus Orthodontists.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will be primarily accountable for maintaining records and reconciling accounts for our practice partners. This hands-on role encompasses a wide range of functions, including full cycle accounting, reconciliation and analytics. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position from our Calgary, AB office.

What You Will Be Doing:

Complete full cycle accounting on behalf of our orthodontal practices. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with our practices and internal stakeholders, including communicating effectively on Finance and Accounting inquiries. Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts including accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers. Assist in financial monthly reporting to orthodontal practices. Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger. Respond to all communications, including e-mails and phone calls, in a timely manner. Provide administrative and operational support duties as needed. Complete various ad hoc tasks and initiatives as required.

About You:

Post-secondary education in accounting or related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 4+ years’ relevant work experience. Advancement knowledge in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups, pivot tables and formatting. Prior experience in SAGE Intacct is considered an asset. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced, start-up environment. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships.
