Qualifications:
- Experience in Accounting or related discipline. Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Experience in Accounts Payable, Receivable, Purchasing, and Inventory.
- Knowledge of State and Federal reporting requirements (including W-9, escheats, sales tax, and 1099 reporting) as well as knowledge of Bulletin 1022 (Michigan School Accounting Manual).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in AS400 and Microsoft Office products, Excel and Word required.
- Experience with year-end accounting transactions and preparing for year-end audit.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills along with attention to detail is essential. Pleasant and professional phone manners are essential.
- Proven work record and desire to work cooperatively and positively with parents, district personnel, and outside vendors in a high pressure environment with frequent interruptions.
- Good attendance record required.
- Additional duties may be assigned by Administrators.
- Self-motivated, strong problem solving abilities.
- Proficiency tests will be required.

- Classification I - 52 weeks - Head Bookkeeper - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
- Provides various clerical services to the Accounting Dept. and related district goals.
