Prestigious 5* Game Reserve based close to Paterson is seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Financial Controller to join their executive finance team.This is a mid-level; hands-on leadership role designed for a finance professional who can balance high-level commercial strategy with meticulous daily operations.Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be the engine room of the department safeguarding financial integrity, driving profitability, and providing guidance & information to department heads and lodge managers, while simultaneously owning the daily transactional workflows, reconciliations, and banking functions. You will also supervise the Accounts Payables.Duties: Ensure all invoices have approved orders attached, before processing and capturingPerform 1st level review on supplier reconciliations on all suppliers reflected on age analysis.Loading of suppliers as beneficiariesCreate payment requisitions and attach invoices, recon supplier ledger to payment batches.Load payments into and send to authorised team members to check and releasePetty cash count & reconciliation monthly.Ensuring accurate and timely submission of payroll information to payroll department monthly.Preparing ad-hoc customer invoices and ensuring the monthly billing cycle is done accurately and timeously.Assist with performing monthly spot checks on operational asset register lists and stock counted.Maintain accurate and up to date financial records.Sound knowledge of VAT processing and the implications thereofCustoms duty monthly submission.Audit, control and process all supplier invoices as per financial manualPreparing full creditors audit file to be reviewed by senior Finance Team before external audit commences.Support the business as and when ad-hoc financial request come in and provide information that is accurate, of a high standard and delivered within required timeframes.Requirements: Matric CertificateA Financial Diploma or DegreeAt least 3+ years accounting experienceHospitality Experience AdvantageousIntermediate MS Office knowledgeAttention to detailCustomer Service orientationPlanning and organising skillsProfessional written and verbal communication skillsPerform well under pressure and adhere to deadlines
