The Finance team helps strengthen business performance by providing financial insight, disciplined planning, and cross-functional partnership. This role will work closely with Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, FP&A, and business leaders to improve visibility, decision-making, profitability, and cash generation.
What will the work look like for me?
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support enterprise indirect spend management, working capital improvement, and performance optimization. This role will track and evaluate spending across suppliers, categories, and business functions to ensure cost reduction and procurement initiatives deliver measurable financial results. The analyst will validate savings, support the financial strategic plan, improve cash generation, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leaders.
What would I do?
As a Financial Analyst, your work would focus on the following:
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, and business leaders to set targets, track indirect spend, and measure savings, cost reduction, value creation, and working capital improvements.
- Analyze spend across suppliers, categories, cost centers, business units, functions, projects, and regions to identify risks, opportunities, trends, contract leakage, supplier concentration, and delayed savings realization.
- Validate realized savings, cost avoidance, supplier rebates, productivity gains, cash flow impacts, and other financial results from improvement initiatives.
- Use spend-cube analytics, financial models, and business cases to prioritize opportunities and support supplier negotiations, contract changes, renewals, demand management, and service-level decisions.
- Lead analysis, forecasting, reporting, and scenario planning for DPO, supplier payment terms, working capital, cash flow, indirect spend, cost reduction, and the financial strategic plan.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, supplier reporting, executive packages, variance analysis, and clear narratives explaining savings, margin improvement, working capital changes, and forecast-to-actual performance.
- Present insights and recommendations to leaders, constructively challenge assumptions, and influence cross-functional decisions that improve purchasing discipline, supplier performance, profitability, cash generation, controls, and business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, simplify processes, strengthen controls, and improve business decision-making; perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Where is this opportunity located?
Position has opportunity to work from a US Based home office. This position is open to candidates eligible to work in United States. Exact working hours are flexible, but this position will be based on working during regular business hours in the Central time zone.
What are the pay and perks?
The typical hiring range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experience, location, and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications
To be considered for Financial Analyst – Procurement Indirect Spend we require the following:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- Three-seven (3–7) years of experience in FP&A, indirect spend finance, procurement finance, consulting, operations finance, cost improvement, or a related discipline.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and financial analysis tools.
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets while maintaining accuracy and business relevance.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and influence decisions across multiple functional areas.
- Strong self-motivation, ownership of deliverables, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting indirect spend, procurement, sourcing, supplier management, working capital, or enterprise cost-improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, procurement systems, planning tools, and financial reporting platforms.
- Experience with SQL, data visualization tools, spend analytics, supplier reporting, or advanced analytics techniques.
- Experience developing business cases, value-capture frameworks, executive presentations, and implementation roadmaps.
- Experience in a public company, electronics, technology, manufacturing, or other complex corporate environment.
- Prior consulting experience in strategy, procurement transformation, operational improvement, restructuring, supply chain optimization, or working capital improvement.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or another relevant professional certification.
