The location in Nekoosa, (Wisconsin, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Financial Analyst. This job is full-time permanent.
Join Our Team
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to support the financial and operational performance of our paper manufacturing facility. This position is an excellent opportunity for both recent graduates and experienced finance professionals who are eager to partner with operations, develop business insights, and contribute to the success of a manufacturing organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with a curiosity for manufacturing operations and a passion for transforming data into actionable business insights.
What You'll Do
- Assist with preparing and analyzing financial and operational reports used to monitor mill performance.
- Assist in identifying trends, variances, and key business drivers through financial and operational data.
- Support month-end reporting activities and help ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Develop financial models and analyses that support business decisions and performance improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, supply chain, and mill leadership teams to better understand manufacturing operations.
- Participate in identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and optimize financial performance.
- Gain exposure to key manufacturing performance metrics, cost drivers, and operational processes.
- Serve as a financial resource to operations teams by helping translate data into actionable insights.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning activities.
- Participate in the evaluation of capital projects and operational improvement initiatives.
- Assist with cost accounting activities, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
- Contribute ideas that improve reporting, financial processes, data quality, and overall business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex situations, challenge assumptions, identify root causes, and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large data set analysis and financial modeling.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial analysis, accounting, operations finance, or related business functions.
- Manufacturing, chemical, paper mill, pulp and paper, packaging, or industrial business experience.
- Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or willingness to pursue.
