Salary with bonus potential Position Summary

The Staff Accountant, Bookkeeper or Financial Analyst is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal departments. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping

 Record daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.

 Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of all entries.  Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts monthly.

 Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment runs in a timely manner. Financial Reporting & Compliance  Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

 Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.

 Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.

 Prepare and file required tax reports, sales/use tax filings, and other regulatory documentation. Operational Support  Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.

 Collaborate with department managers to provide budget tracking and expenditure reports.

 Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data and documentation. Process Improvement

 Recommend and implement process enhancements for efficiency and accuracy.

 Assist with audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.


Qualifications

Qualifications Education & Experience

 Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).

 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related role.

 Experience with accounting software/Excel (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar). Skills & Competencies

 Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

 Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

 Strong organizational and time-management skills.

 Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

 Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical & Work Requirements

 Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.

 May require occasional overtime during closing periods or audits.
