Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support CAPEX investments across NAFR, Mini Mill, and Tubular operations.
- Partner with FP&A to build robust business cases and provide analytical insights that support strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Support valuation analyses related to capital projects, mergers and acquisitions, markets, products, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to inform strategic recommendations.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning activities as needed.
- Collaborate with Business Planning and cross‑functional teams to support execution of strategic initiatives and alignment with enterprise objectives.
- Prepare presentations and analytical materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Provide direct support to the Vice President of Strategy, including coordination of strategic initiatives, communications, and key deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a strategy‑oriented role within investment banking, management consulting, valuation, corporate development, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with CAPEX analysis, valuation models, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools; strong PowerPoint skills for executive‑level presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Strategy, Business Planning).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leaders and executives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
- Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, steel, or capital‑intensive environments.
- Exposure to M&A analysis, strategic capital projects, or market and industry research.
- Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and planning tools.
- Prior experience supporting executive leadership or Board‑level materials.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate market trends and business impacts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentation.
- Highly collaborative, proactive, and results‑oriented.
- Comfortable working across functions and engaging with senior stakeholders.
