Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post.Job DescriptionREPORTS TO: Program Finance ManagerSUPERVISES: N/AAUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and initial analysis of assigned Projects for cost, schedule and performanceInterfaces with Customers and internal departments of preparation of Project status for the ProgramProvide analysis and verification of Program submitted Forecast and EACsProvide GAP analysis of EACs and adjustmentsResponsible for collecting deliverable inputs from various departments and assists in reviewing for technical and administrative correctness prior to submitting to Customer Contract Data Requirement List (CDRLs)Participates in weekly and ad-hoc meetings with Program teams as requiredIdentifies trends and develops support metrics for operations / othersResearch of all discrepancies in charging and be able to resolve timely and accuratelyMonitor tasking, performance to plan and funding on a regular basisAnalyze data to produce accurate variance analysis reports and metricsPrepare and submit financial briefs to the Program Office as required and facilitate timely response to any questions/discrepanciesMonitor contract dollar values by element of cost to support Program Office and financial impactsMaintains written policy and procedures for area of responsibilityMaintains compliance with Company policies and proceduresAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:BS/BA Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in manufacturing or public accountingExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills requiredStrong analytical, written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Government contracts a plus but not requiredSome experience working with financial models and internal rate of return calculationsBasic knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)Basic understanding of contract types and values preferredIntermediate level of research and analysis skillsWorking knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Management System a plusAdvanced knowledge of Excel, Access, Word and PowerPointAbility to work with limited direction in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work a flexible scheduleTOOLS: N/ADIRECTION EXERCISED: Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and a variety of complicated tasks.DISCRETION EXERCISED: Ability to work independent and make sound judgments, while exercising creativity.LIAISES WITH: Personnel across all departments, primarily Program Office, Purchasing, Contracts and Finance as well as the Customer.ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required if deemed necessary in the scope of your position responsibilities.All candidates must meet Austal USA’s basic employment eligibility guidelines:18 years or older at time of applicationAble to provide proof of US Person status (permanent resident or citizen)No felony convictions of theft/deception or violent crimes within seven years from disposition dateNo felony convictions of drug cries within three years from disposition dateWilling to submit to a drug screenWilling to submit to a background checkMust be fully vaccinated for COVID-19WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
