Finance Manager

This role is for one of Weekday’s clients Salary range: Rs 900000 - Rs 1400000 (ie INR 9 - 14 LPA) Min Experience: 3+ years Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India JobType: full-time We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to manage financial reporting, accounting operations, audits, and day-to-day finance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Tally, financial reporting, and financial audits , along with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. The Finance Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, management, and other business functions to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial processes. Requirements Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports , including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash-flow statements, and other management reports. Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on time. Maintain accounting records and ledgers using Tally , including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions. Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, receivables, payables, and other financial records. Coordinate and support financial audits , including preparation of schedules, supporting documents, reconciliations, and audit-related information. Work with internal and external auditors to address queries, provide required documentation, and ensure timely completion of audit activities. Monitor financial controls and identify discrepancies, accounting errors, and process gaps. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation requirements, and statutory financial reporting obligations. Track accounts payable and receivable and support effective cash-flow management. Review financial transactions and supporting documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization. Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities. Analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights to management for business and financial decision-making. Maintain proper documentation and organized records for financial transactions and audit purposes. Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve finance-related issues and ensure smooth financial operations. Must-Have Skills Financial Reporting Tally Financial Audits Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles Experience managing financial records and reconciliations Good understanding of financial controls and compliance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage deadlines and multiple finance activities simultaneously Good-to-Have Skills Strong understanding of Accounting Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting Knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance Advanced Excel skills Experience with ERP/accounting software Exposure to process improvement and automation Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field . 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles. Hands-on experience with Tally and financial reporting is required. Prior experience supporting or managing financial audits is highly preferred. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
