Finance Manager, Selling Partner Trust and Store Integrity

This is not a typical finance role. This is a front-line position in one of Amazon's most consequential financial risk domains — Seller Bad Debt (SBD) — where your analysis directly determines how hundreds of millions of dollars flow through Amazon's books, and your insights shape the programs that protect the world's largest marketplace from financial exploitation.You will own the financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision support for the Seller Collections ecosystem, with a mandate to reduce gross bad debt and optimize fund recovery. Your work will have direct visibility to VP-level leadership and will influence capital allocation decisions across the Selling Partner Services organization.If you thrive on ambiguity, love untangling complex data to find the signal in the noise, and want a role where your analysis has real, measurable impact on Amazon's bottom line then this is it.Transactional Seller Bad Debt is comprised of three interconnected components — Gross Seller Bad Debt (driven primarily by Negative Seller Balance reserves), Bad Actor Fund Recoveries, and Damages — each with its own drivers, levers, and forecasting challenges. You won't just report the numbers; you'll decode why they move.You'll hunt bad actors — with data. The fraud landscape you'll analyze is sophisticated and constantly evolving. Your analysis will quantify the financial impact of each vector, identify emerging patterns before they become material, and arm the business with the data to act decisively.You'll build and defend a forecast under a microscope. The Seller Bad Debt forecast has direct visibility at the senior-most levels of finance leadership. You will own the end-to-end forecasting process across planning cycles (OP1, QBR, MBR), building bottoms-up models. - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
