Finance Manager, Echo Sales and Marketing

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the Alexa Sales & Marketing Finance team within Amazon Devices & Services. This role will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Echo Devices Sales and Marketing organization, owning financial planning, forecasting, and business insights that drive investment decisions across product launches, promotional events (e.g., Prime Day, Holiday), and go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, can translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders, and demonstrates a bias for action in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.Key job responsibilities- Own the P&L for assigned Echo device programs, including revenue forecasting, cost modeling (BOM, promotional spend), and variance analysis across monthly and quarterly planning cycles (OP1/OP2, QBR, MBR).- Lead financial planning for sales events sizing deal economics, promotional spend, and delivering post-event performance readouts to leadership team- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate pricing strategies, MSRP changes, channel mix optimization - Deliver weekly and monthly business review inputs including highlights, lowlights, and forward-looking risk/opportunity callouts with quantified financial impact.- Drive cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives by identifying structural cost trends (BOM escalation, rate variance) and partnering cross-functionally on mitigation strategies.- Develop and automate reporting solutions that improve speed-to-insight for the broader finance and business team.- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies.
