The Finance Director will support a newly acquired business at Modaxo. This position is a hybrid role with 50% of the time being spent at the Columbia Maryland office. The Finance Director will lead and oversee all financial operations, strategy, and planning, ensuring sound financial management and compliance. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's long-term objectives.
* Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital to optimize financial resources.
* Lead the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant financial legislation.
* Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
* Oversee the company's financial risk management framework, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
* Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support business decisions and growth.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* CPA designation is required.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership level position.
* Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations for a growing company.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
* Proficiency in financial software (Netsuite) and ERP systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
* Experience in the technology sector is an asset.
* Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment.
