SUMMARY/ OBJECTIVE The Billing Specialist is responsible for the review, analysis and billing functions related to a variety of projects. This position will work directly with internal branch offices daily as well as external customers as necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtains and analyzes source billing documents including quotes, contracts, field sheets and/or billing tickets and matches to purchase orders, pay applications or other customer submittal requirements. Communicated effectively with internal company contacts as well as extremal customers, including Prime Contractors, Subcontractors and state agencies, as required Process batches in regular intervals as directed (daily/weekly/monthly) Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes Collaborate with team members to improve processes and maintain efficient workflows Assist Subcontract process as necessary including work reconciliation, related deductions, payment disbursement, lien waivers and required state filings Assist in progress billing and related reviews Maintain workbooks related to work performed, which may include analysis of key metrics and aspects of asset tracking Ensure timely and accurate output to meet deadlines Performs general administrative support duties including but not limited to answering phones, filing, sending out invoices, assisting customers, etc. Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements
Required: High School Diploma, college courses preferred Construction background a plus Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Must have knowledge of standard office equipment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail, time management and excellent organizations skills required Must be able to maintain professionalism and a positive service-attitude at all times Ability to work alone and in a team environment Ability to maintain confidentiality, willingness to sign STC Confidentiality Agreement
