Pacific Staffing is partnering with our client to identify a Divisional Controller who will lead day-to-day accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting in a high-expectation, operations-driven environment. This role is ideal for a disciplined, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a hands-on role, maintains strict process adherence, and collaborates closely with project managers and operational leadership.
The Divisional Controller will oversee AP, AR, month-end close, revenue-recognition support, billing compliance, and financial reporting while reinforcing accounting standards across the business. We’re seeking a responsive, organized, and reliable individual who excels in fast-paced settings and brings strong communication skills, GAAP expertise, WIP accounting experience, and a continuous-improvement mindset — along with a proven background in financial accounting and reporting.

- Salary: $140K-$175K/Year (DOE).
- 100% onsite located in Sacramento, CA.
Responsibilities
- Manage AP, AR, and full-cycle accounting for a single-entity operation.
- Lead month-end close and deliver accurate financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with union billing, AIA billing, and construction/field-service accounting standards.
- Partner with project managers on revenue recognition, billing, and WIP costing.
- Serve as the finance point of contact for operations leadership.
- Maintain disciplined accounting processes and resolve deviations.
- Support process improvements and system enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–7 years of accounting experience in an operational business environment.
- Experience with AP, AR, and full-cycle accounting required.
- Union billing, AIA billing, or construction accounting experience a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, responsiveness, and follow-through.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Comfortable in a hands-on role focused on execution and accuracy.
