Director, Treasury Funding & Fx Controls

Treasury group at American Express enables profitable business growth through management of the company’s balance sheet including liquidity, capital distribution, and global money movement strategies. Treasury also plays a key role in identifying, measuring and addressing financial and operational risks. We ensure that the right amount of capital, funding, and liquidity is in the right currency, in the right place, at the right time, with the right controls. Reporting to the Vice President, Cayman Islands (CI) Treasury and working in close collaboration with the Vice President of Global Treasury Controls and Operational Governance, the Director, Treasury Funding & Foreign Exchange (FX) Controls strengthens Treasury’s CI risk and control environment. The role provides direct support to CI Treasury teams and partners with enterprise risk teams to execute and advance CI Treasury’s operational risk, third-party and process-resiliency strategies, embedding accountability and operational discipline across day-to-day activities. The Director leads key risk-management frameworks and provides execution support for Business Continuity Management activities and processes, balancing strategic direction with hands-on delivery and high visibility across Treasury and Finance.
