Director of Construction FP&A

A growing engineering and construction organization in the renewable energy sector is hiring a Director of Construction FP&A to support large-scale infrastructure and capital projects. This role offers strong visibility to leadership, hands-on ownership of project financials, and the opportunity to build and improve project controls processes. You’ll work closely with Field Operations and Project Managers to drive forecasting accuracy, identify risks early, and ensure projects stay on track financially and operationally.

What you’ll need:

• 5+ years of experience in project related FP&A. This can be in construction, utilities, energy, manufacturing, distribution, etc. 
• Experience working closely with Project Managers and Field Operations (not just back-office reporting)
• Strong background in cost tracking, forecasting, and project financial analysis
• Experience creating reports and presenting to corporate executives and stakeholders
• Experience with ERP systems like Dynamics 365, Vista Viewpoint, Netsuite, Acumatica, etc.

Nice to have:

• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or government projects
• Previous work in project controls, cost controls, or project-based environments
• Familiarity with project tools like Primavera P6, Procore, or similar
• Exposure to earned value (EVM/EVMS) and/or project scheduling systems
• Experience building dashboards or reporting (Power BI or similar)
