About The Role In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance organization, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional opportunities faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Within the Corporate Finance segment, the Office of the CFO practice offers solutions to manage our client’s CFO inbox for a company and help maximize its performance to position them for success to meet today’s increasing opportunities. What You’ll Do The Director will collaborate with various teams, manage junior staff, and direct projects and workstreams with limited oversight to execute client engagements by: Developing knowledge management, including tools, methodologies, reports, models, work plans, checklists and processes. Performing high quality client work and developing client relationships for CFO advisory service assignments, including taking a proactive approach and anticipating client needs. Assisting with internal practice development and marketing, including developing materials, surveys, events and strategic case studies. Lead engagement work streams and projects with limited oversight. Identify market opportunities to develop and present engagement proposals that drive new revenue and new clients for FTI Participating in the writing of thought leadership pieces relevant to CAO’s and the OCFO practice Taking a management role in helping coach, train, and mentor Jr. Staff How You’ll Grow The performance expectation for our client’s finance function is at a new peak, and the demands placed on a CFO have never been greater. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven, hands-on project delivery experience to work with our Fortune 500 clients to help them plan, design, and execute key financial technologies to streamline their financial operations. What You Will Need To Succeed Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related discipline 5+ years of experience in financial consulting or advisory; or in a Corporate rotational program focused on developing financial leaders in a finance, accounting or FP&A function Experience as a consultant (internal or external) with demonstrated experience in 1 or more of the following areas: FP&A, Accounting & Financial Reporting, Finance Transformation, Finance Technology, and/or Cash, Cost, and Capital Ability to synthesize and advise on complex financial and operational concepts and issues; and translate those to clear and actionable recommendations and insights Expertise with Microsoft Excel and ability to develop financial models with minimal oversight Ability to travel to client sites and FTI office(s) as needed Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas Preferred Qualifications Experience with business intelligence tools and/or data analytics Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) certification, or MBA #LI-SC3 FTI Consulting is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, protected veteran status, religion, physical or mental disability, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, or any other basis protected by law, ordinance, or regulation. Compensation Minimum Pay: $109,000 Maximum Pay: $224,000 Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
