Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations;   

• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by coordinating with Northwest’s various regional departments.  

• Prepare and execute journal entries and monthly bank reconciliations.  

• Assist in the monthly close process within Yardi and OneStream, including tracking accruals, intercompany balances, and prepaid expenses.  

• Conduct financial analytics comparing current and prior periods, as well as budget variances for corporate functions.  

• Prepare quarterly and year end files, maintain documentation, and assist with interim reviews and annual audit queries.  

• Contribute to monthly financial and management reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.  

• Assist in the annual budget process, meeting processing and reporting deadlines.  

• Provide support to other accounting staff and take on additional duties as . 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.  

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.  

• Completion of our substantial progress toward obtaining CPA designation (Vital Infrastructure is a designated CPA training office).  

• Strong understanding of accounting principles under IFRS.  

• Advanced experience in corporate accounting, preferably in a similar role.  

• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, technical, and communication skills.  

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines while effectively managing a heavy workload.  

• Self-motivated with a strong team orientation and the ability to work independently.  

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.  

• Working knowledge of Yardi 7.0 is considered an asset.
