Job Summary:

Based out of Kurv’s Corporate office in Chicago, the Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day corporate accounting operations, including financial reporting, month‑end close, and maintenance of accounting systems. This role works closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and broader accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of corporate financial results. The Corporate Accountant plays a key role in preparing workpapers, managing data in Yardi, supporting treasury and reimbursement processes, and assisting with process improvements across the accounting function. Essential Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain corporate accounting workpapers and supporting schedules Assist in the preparation of internal actual and forecast reporting packages, KPIs, and ad hoc reporting for management Support the month‑end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Assist in calculating and tracking development, construction, property, and asset management fees Process and review corporate reimbursements and expense allocations Support cash management and treasury activities, including coordination with banking partners as needed Maintain and utilize Yardi to support corporate accounting, reporting, and cross‑functional needs Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements within corporate accounting workflows Partner cross‑functionally with other departments to gather information, meet reporting deadlines, and ensure data accuracy Support external accounting firms and auditors with requested documentation and reporting Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field Two to five years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate or investment management Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience with Yardi or similar accounting/ERP systems preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting High level of accuracy and attention to detail
