Description

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities within the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience and/or Training: 
•    5+ years in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or the sheet metal/coatings industry.
•    Experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment is a plus
•    Strong background in cost accounting, job costing, and inventory management
•    Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or equivalent)
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).

Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA OR Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) (Highly Preferred)

•    The employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 10 lbs occasionally.
•    Travel: This position requires an estimated 20% annual travel between local offices. The travel will primarily involve visiting other local facilities to collaborate with different teams and support projects across our multiple, local locations and the entire organization. 20% = 1 day/week

Working Environment
Work is performed in a general office environment with limited noise exposure and usually moderate. Noise may be loud when frequenting the production floor. Additionally, there will be occasional exposure to dust, metal debris, changes in ambient temperature, and requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
