As the Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial stability. Responsibilities:

• • Manage all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights to senior management.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to support business operations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Maintain a system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and vendors. 

Roll:

• • Financial Oversight — The controller manages day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.  
  • Budget Management — Responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets to align with company goals.
  • Financial Reporting — Prepares monthly and annual financial statements to provide insights into the company's financial status.
  • Internal Controls — Implements and monitors internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure financial integrity.
  • Team Collaboration — Works closely with other departments to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.

Job Description

• Technical proficiency in software used to create budgets, financial statements and other accounting documents
• Understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting principles
• Knowledge of audit coordination, internal controls and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in overseeing month-end and year-end close processes
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with employees
• Overseeing the preparation of local, state and federal tax filings 
• Supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Controller or similar finance leadership role.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Quickbooks online.
