Are you a CPA with a sharp mind, bold ideas, and the ambition to shape the finance function of a fast-scaling public healthcare tech company? Our client is seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller to lead the evolution of our finance and accounting operations across North America and Global.
This is more than a Controller role, it’s an opportunity to be the financial architect behind a company that’s tripled its sales in three years and is actively pursuing M&A, innovation, and global expansion.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the go-to finance leader who brings clarity, precision, and structure to a rapidly growing organization. In this role, you’ll:

Lead the full accounting cycle including month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting.
Own internal and external reporting - prepare MD&A, financial statements, and performance analysis (ARR, churn, KPI dashboards).
Manage technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, inventory, accruals, and equity.
Supervise external contractors and bookkeeping resources and streamline project handoffs.
Support forecasting and scenario planning, helping build dynamic financial models to guide strategic decisions.
Drive process improvement and automation, continually enhancing accuracy, speed, and scalability.
Collaborate across time zones and functions, acting as a key partner to the CFO, executive team, and global finance staff.

Success in 3, 6, 12 Months:

3 months: Gain mastery of existing systems, lead month-end close, support MD&A.
6 months: Streamline reporting cycles, build forecasting models, own KPIs.
12 months: Become the finance backbone for growth, M&A readiness, audit and compliance, team leadership.

Own month-end/quarter-end close and reporting.
Lead revenue recognition, accruals, and equity accounting.
Improve processes, systems, and scale finance operations.

What You Bring to the Table

CPA designation and 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (audit or full-cycle finance).
Experience in US GAAP and ideally public company reporting or SOX readiness.
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, advanced Excel, and strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Ability to lead through ambiguity in a scaling or startup-like environment.
A proven passion for building systems, streamlining workflows, and making finance a strategic partner.
Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and cross-functional collaboration.
