The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico ranging from classic and modern luxury full-service hotels, to fine dining and entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial systems to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
• Maintain complete financial records and internal controls in line with hotels regulations and company policies.
• Provide timely and insightful financial reports and operational metrics to senior management.
• Manage the budgeting process, including preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance evaluation.
• Supervise core accounting functions: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and debt payments.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and tax requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Conduct financial analyses to support capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, promoting a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Service-oriented with experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial reports with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established deadlines.
• Strong skills in researching, analyzing, and interpreting financial information.
• High level of confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with financial data management and data entry.
• Solid understanding of mathematics as applied to accounting and finance.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, bookkeeping practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional reports and presentations.
• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
