- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while maintaining general ledger integrity and ensuring accurate financial reporting and revenue recognition.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and internal financial controls.
- Manage job costing, project accounting, AIA billing, and profitability analysis across multiple concurrent projects.
- Forecast cash flow, working capital requirements, and liquidity needs to support business growth and project execution.
- Manage collections, payment strategies, and vendor negotiations to optimize cash flow and working capital.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for leadership.
- Identify financial risks, margin concerns, and opportunities to improve profitability, pricing, and operational performance.
- Improve accounting processes, reporting capabilities, and financial systems to support scalability and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary owner of NetSuite and provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and project-based accounting.
- Advanced NetSuite expertise.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience negotiating vendor payment terms and managing working capital.
- Ability to streamline and scale financial processes in a growth environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, including senior accounting manager or controller experience
- Direct construction industry accounting experience.
- Experience with job costing, AIA billing, and long-duration project cash cycles.
- Experience in high-growth organizations preferred.
- Public accounting experience and/or CPA certification preferred.
